Paul started playing guitar the year Woodstock happened.  Self taught, Paul played both electric and acoustic guitar in a couple of church groups, and later in a garage band that had no name.   In 1976 his focus changed and he gave up the guitar.

Fast forward 29 years.  Paul’s son decided to join the string band in middle school.  He brought home a pitiful guitar.  Paul decided to buy him a better one, and started playing guitar again himself.  He bought himself an Ovation acoustic-electric.  Within a year, his son decided he wanted to play electric guitar and bought bought himself a Fender Stratocaster.  Having always wanted a Stratocaster himself, Paul bought one was well.

Many guitars later, In 2013, Paul was invited to jam with a group of folks that would become the band “Rewind”.   Paul played lead and rhythm guitar in Rewind until June 2015.  Rewind performed at many venues in the quad-city area including the Prescott Courthouse Square.

In May 2016 after a short hiatus, Paul joined up with Russ, Steve and Tim to form a new band.  Alter Ego was born.
